date of birth: 08 February 1950 place of birth: Albuquerque, New Mexico After THE MOTELS had disbanned, MICHAEL stayed on with MARTHA for her first solo Lp "Policy" playing bass for some of the tracks. He even was in her back-up band for the tour to promote her first solo album. Afterwards, MICHAEL migrated back to his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he currently lives working as a medical technician. But music is still a part of his life, and in the Spring of 2000, MICHAEL began work on a solo musical project that led to the creation of his debut CD. The CD, titled Flesh and Blood was released in the Spring of 2000. Though primarily known only as the bass player for THE MOTELS, MICHAEL also possesses the talent for writing, and penned several of the band's tunes including: "Careful" and "Bonjour Baby" with MARTY JOURARD, and "Tables Turned" with MARTHA DAVIS.
